 Since its foundation with the approval of the State Council in 1979, the institute experienced its difficult start and now has developed into a famous comprehensive consulting institution for the national building materials industries. During the process of the Chinese economic transition from planned to market economy, the institute made its appropriate contributions to the development of the Chinese building materials industry. Here, on behalf of the staff of the institute, I express our sincere thanks to friends from various circles who care and support the development of the institute.
The 16th Conference of the party (CCP) raised its ambitious strategy to build China into an overall well-off and new industrialized country, which brought great historic opportunities and market potentialities to the Chinese building materials industry. Under the new historic conditions, the institute must start its undertaking for another time and take its place on the market so that it could become more competitive. We will try our best to build an open institute and promote the development of the building materials consulting industry. Taking the market as the guide, profits as the center and reforms as the drive, we will develop a new culture with the institute's characteristics that meets the needs of the development of the consulting industry. We have initiated and insisted on the following six principles: work in unity and close cooperation, forge ahead with pioneering spirits, seek truth with practical style, study assiduously in defiance of difficulties, do things in a rigorous way, provide scientific and efficient services. We have set our objective as "to promote the competitive power of the domestic building materials industry", management idea as "to pursue what the customer needs most" and our quality idea as "to provide the perfect". After years of development, we could provide fast, efficient, accurate and advanced consulting services on every side for all kinds of customers. With high-quality and trustworthy services, we could help our customers expand their share of the market, earn more profits and build their new brand of products. The institute would be built into a first class expert consulting institution for the domestic building materials industry and improve its internationally competitive power.
